WHAT WE DO.....

  • Work closely with Andrew Snyder, Chief Dog Warden and the deputies of the Wood County Dog Shelter with the goal of decreasing the shelter population by finding homes for dogs housed in the shelter.
  • Promote the adoptable shelter dogs on social media and network with approved dog rescues.
  • Transport shelter dogs to and from the vet and to approved rescues within a tri-state area.
  • Plan fundraisers and participate in functions with an information booth, informing the public about Friends of Wood County Dog Shelter.
  • Support a small number of foster families with care needed for dogs we place in foster care.
